Hayley Wardle
Actress and professional drummer Hayley Angel Wardle won the prestigious ‘Scotsman Edinburgh Fringe Festival Award’ for ‘Best New Music’ for her role as the lead in the musical ‘Departure Lounge’ which debuted at the Edinburgh Fringe.he since went on to be featured in the ‘Watch Out For’ section in the London Evening Standard and graced the cover of The Sunday Times ‘Culture’ magazine for the lead role she played in ‘Totally Frank’ for E4. Hayley played a young Sally Andrews opposite Faye Dunaway and Hugh O’Connor in the feature 2009 ‘Flick’ that was nominated for a Raindance Award. It was also screened at the Cannes Film Festival and is out this year.
Hayley trained as an actress at ‘The Italia Conti Academy’ as well as the ‘London Studio Centre’ where she trained in classical ballet. She was brought up surrounded by music. Her father, John Wardle, aka Jah Wobble, was one of the founding members of Public Image ltd alongside Johnny Rotten. He collaborates with Bjork, Massive Attack, Brian Eno, Primal Scream etc.
