Tara’s new novel ‘Inheritance’ has been released and she’s now working on her second, working title, ‘Infidelity’ both being published by Macmillan.

Tara Palmer-Tomkinson, the original IT girl, has become a household name since she first came to the attention of the media in 1996.

After having four memorable years as a columnist for the Sunday Times and a weekly page in Closer magazine, she continues to contribute to titles such as GQ, the Observer, Harpers and Queen, Evening Standard, The Telegraph, Tatler, instyle, eve and the Times.

Over the past two years since winning Fame Academy, Tara has been working on her album ‘Flawed’. She has hosted reality show ‘Dirty Cows’ for Living TV as well as recently presenting ‘The Underdog Show’ with Mark Durden-Smith, also for Living TV.  She also took part in the first ever ‘Express Eventing Championship’ at the Millenium Stadium in Cardiff at the end of November 2008.

This year Tara has signed a two book deal with Macmillan for two fictional novels, she’s currently working on the first!  Tara’s book ‘Naughty Girls Guide to Life’, a tongue and cheek self help book, is now out in paperback.

Tara's television profile is second to none, successfully hosting prime time shows for ITV1, ITV2, ITV3, Channel 4 and the BBC, including, 'Animals do the Funniest Things', 'Junior Eurovision' and coverage of 'I'm a Celebrity get me out of here' with Ant and Dec. Having been runner up five years ago, Tara went on to host four series of the 'I'm a Celebrity; get me out of here now’ ITV2 Show from the Australian outback. In 2005 the series, hosted by Tara and Matt Brown, was nominated for a prestigious TRIC award.

She has also enjoyed hosting a live radio show for LBC every Friday. Tara is a notorious presenter, entertaining interviewee and celebrity contestant.

She has been on many shows ranging from E4's 'Pop World', C4's 'Place in the Sun', ITV's 'Celebrities under pressure', 'Top of the Pops', C4's '100 Greatest' series, E4's 'if only I Could Meet...', ITV's 'With a Little Help from my friends', BBC's 'what kids really think', C4's '8 out of 10 cats', MTV's '1 Leicester Square' and C4's 'Friday night Project' and UKTV's Wogan: Now and Then.

Last year, Tara's honesty shone through whilst attempting to give up smoking for ITV's "Cold Turkey". She was also the voice on family music channel "The hits" with her very own music selection slot. On top of this, Tara wrote a weekly blog for ITV mobile entitled "TPT's Pocket Gossip" where she comments on the week in celebsville.

Tara's notoriously cheeky fashion style has led her to judging roles in project catwalk hosted by Kelly Osborne. She’s graced the catwalk for Philip Treacy's spring collection and has been a popular face at top shows at London fashion week including her good friend Julien MacDonald.

Tara was proud to be the 'posh' face of Walkers' highly successful range of crisps 'Sensations', for 3 years. She was also delighted to host the 'Clothes Show Live' in Birmingham where she appeared as the face of a national campaign by the internet provider, Freeserve.

In September 2006, Tara was thrilled to be asked to be the face of Heinz Baked Beans latest campaign because 'Britain's Original and best loved IT girl' was thrilled to launched 'Britain's Original and best loved beans'.
