Zara Boland
Check out Zara's new website www.zarathevet.com as well as her consultancy website www.vetvoice.co.ukZara Boland is fast becoming a well-known media vet regularly appearing on Channel 5’s “Live with…” as well as BBC World and Sky TV. She is also a popular radio and press interviewee on the real issues affecting our pets today as well as our global wildlife populations. Zara is a practicing clinical vet based in London and is also the founder and director of Vet Voice. In addition, she is the canine nutritionist for Dogs Monthly and writes regularly for various veterinary publications, as well as speaking frequently at conferences.
Zara’s passion for animals stems from a childhood spent exploring the urban and farm-life of Ireland, the camels in Iraq and the exotic wildlife of Africa. However, her veterinary vocation first took root in the Australian outback where she regularly treated native wildlife, including birds of prey and reptiles, alongside companion and farm animals. Zara has a keen interest in animal nutrition and behaviour, but is also very focused on working with animal charities to raise awareness of welfare, wildlife and conservation issues. Ultimately Zara is driven by helping everyone to understand how to care responsibly for animals and how to maintain and strengthen the all-important human-animal bond.
