Michael Maisey’s story is one of pure inspiration, whereby he has used his life experiences to become a best selling author, podcast host, speaker and a star of ‘SAS Who Dares Wins’ season 4 in 2019.

Now 12 years sober, Michael is passionate about using his story and experience for the greater good of others. In 2014 he was awarded a community safety hero award presented to him by Carl Buddy, the chief superintendent of the Metropolitan Police.

As well as immersing himself back into acting, Michael uses his time to give motivational talks as well as run courses and workshops in prisons, detox clinics and schools. Michael has also been running retreats for men in Devon for the past two years called ‘The Warrior Within Men’s Retreat.'

Michael released his best selling book ‘Young Offender’ in 2019, telling the story of his personal journey. His book was a huge success and was ranked in Amazon’s best selling charts in various categories throughout July and August 2019. In March 2020, the book won a Silver Award at The Literary Titan Book Awards. These awards are given to books that have astounded and amazed with their unique writing styles, vivid worlds, complex characters, and original ideas. The books deserve extraordinary praise and we are so proud of Michael for receiving this much deserved accolade.

He is also the host of the CIP (Change Is Possible) podcast where he invites guests to join him and share their own inspirational stories and he has also featured in numerous radio and TV shows, including:
