Biography

Parent, Presenter and Podcaster Kate Lawler shot to fame after winning the third series Big Brother UK in 2002, making her the first ever female winner of the reality TV hit.

Since then Kate has carved out a successful media career, as both a presenter and guest, across a range of popular TV and radio shows. In 2016 she moved to Virgin Radio, where she hosted weekday afternoons until 2019, then drive-time until she went on maternity leave in 2021. Kate returned to Virgin Radio in 2022 but not full-time so that she could pursue other projects including writing her first book. In early 2022, Kate began hosting ITV competitions and features on This Morning and Loose Women which has given her a great experience of presenting live television.

In 2019 Kate and her partner Boj launched the award-winning and chart-topping podcast, Maybe Baby, to open up discussions around the decision to have children. With rave reviews and over 1 million listens to date, Maybe Baby has been praised for tackling a taboo subject in a relatable and entertaining way. This journey led them to start a family, and in 2024, they launched their new podcast, 'Boj & Kate Have A Lot on Their Plate'. The show blends food, family life, and chaos, with Boj’s cooking and Kate’s honest reviews at the heart of it. They share the ups and downs of parenting and life as a couple—plus, if Boj’s lucky, a little dessert chat.

In February 2021 Kate gave birth to her first child, a daughter named Noa. After the somewhat unusual journey into Motherhood and experience of postnatal depression, Kate wrote her first book, Maybe Baby: On the Mother Side which shot to Number 4 in the Sunday Times Bestseller chart.

Kate has also made a huge name for herself DJing at some of the biggest and best clubs in the UK, Europe and across the world. Kate now plays and hosts fashion shows, events and corporate gigs.
